Thank you and Youth Enterprise Trust for the use of Woodstock over the past Seven years to present International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN) which is an Annual Worldwide Event that locally the community gets behind and with the Tamborine Village Lion Club benefits from donations and profits from their Sausage Sizzle during the night, all benefits towards their community projects. This has become a very sociable community event. The lovely Dark Skies of Woodstock are greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your assistance with this continued community experience.
Conservation Volunteers Australia (CVA) has enjoyed a strong partnership with Woodstock over the years and especially in the last 3 years. Woodstock is a place of significance for CVA staff and volunteers to regain peace and perspective whilst contributing to a comprehensive environmental rehabilitation plan in place for the property. The vision for Woodstock is a great motivator in planning for projects and a future rich in wildlife, habitat and refuge for disadvantaged youth in a fast growing urban landscape.
CVA is committed to involvement in the rehabilitation of Woodstock into the future.
Woodstock is an amazing location – I’m reluctant to tell others about it, because it’s such a hidden gem of a place! The proximity to Brisbane and the Gold Coast is very handy and the farm itself is very special. With views through to Mt Tamborine and surrounded by gum trees, kangaroos, the resident goats and the Albert River, you really feel like you’re away from it all. Our youth participants feel very much at peace with themselves and connected to the land during our camps at Woodstock. For most of them, it’s the first time they’ve been woken up by Kookaburras or taken the time to stand in a paddock at night time and marvel at the cosmos overhead, far away from the normal hectic urban lives.
